Historic West Fourth

Announce a district’s new brand identity through a community-centric PR plan

West Fourth Street was one of Cincinnati’s first turn-of-the-century downtown streetscapes. In 2019, with more than $400 million in planned redevelopment, the district was ready to reveal the story and brand identity for its next chapter.

In summer 2019, The Loring Group wanted to announce how its investment in redeveloping West Fourth Street in downtown Cincinnati was supporting a rebirth in the district. With lead agency BS LLC focused on branding and neighborhood relationship-building, it sought a partner to help with PR to 1) educate about the projects that would revitalize the district’s properties and community, and 2) inspire locals, businesses, and travelers with Historic West Fourth’s past, present, and future as a downtown destination.

 Project Scope

  • PR strategy with key messages, launch event recommendations and targeted news angles

  • PR outreach and supporting materials, including media advisory, press release and beat-specific pitches

  • Onsite PR management at the Historic West Fourth event to launch the brand and announce four new district tenants

 Integrato’s Approach

  1. Pitch Customizable Stories. Empower Cincinnati newsmakers with multiple ideas, from economic redevelopment to destination tourism to community, so they could tell the story that engaged their readers/viewers most.

  2. Lean into Branding + Marketing. From the intentional choice to hold the Historic West Fourth reveal on the 4th of October, to collaboration on the event run of show and meetings with district tenants, a holistic team effort ensured each touchpoint reinforced the district’s story.

  3. Think Visually. By sending an electronic press kit with renderings, logos, and images immediately following the event, it was easy for news media to consistently share the new brand identity.

“Claire is a go-to resource for BS LLC. Smart, creative, and impressively organized—she is a consummate professional. Her work for Historic West Fourth helped us to ensure client delight and client sales goals by meeting project charter criteria and over-delivering with local media results.”
